A Mural Rooted in Community
This mural project was made possible through Faraz, the owner of Rickshaw, who also runs the nonprofit organization Chi Cares. Every weekend, Chi Cares uses Rickshaw’s location at 4304 N Pulaski as a staging area to feed over 300 unhoused individuals across Chicago. The incredible work being done here inspired me to create a mural that’s deeply authentic to the owners and the community it serves.
The Art: A Tribute to Culture and Tradition
Inside Rickshaw, the mural features a rickshaw, a mosque, and a minaret tower—symbols that resonate with the heritage and values of the business and the people it touches. These elements are complemented by window art that further celebrates the vibrancy of the space and its mission.
Experience the Mural and Support the Mission
The mural isn’t just art—it’s a reflection of a community-driven purpose and the collective effort to make a difference. I invite you to visit Rickshaw, admire the mural, and learn more about how Chi Cares is making an impact in Chicago.
As we move forward in 2025, I’m incredibly thankful for your support in helping me bring these stories to life. Stay tuned for more updates from the Bernbot collection, and let’s continue celebrating art, culture, and community together.
Wishing you an inspiring New Year!
Warm regards,
Berny Echeverria
