In our private collection, "Mini Crumples" from Chicago artist Arthur J. Williams Jr. The first series of miniature crumpled bills featuring the artists signature reproduction of the 1996 hundred dollar bill.
During the 2020 pandemic, the artist began experimenting with different materials to recreate how money would crumple when it's put in a pocket. The idea took years of development with trial and error on many different types of paper until the artist found one suitable for the creation. A material that hardens when crumpled. The artist calls it "Space Material."
Color Options: Each bill is brushed with interference oil that reacts when viewed from different angles. This is the same color shifting technique the artist used during his years as a counterfeiter.
